Company’s Launches Spanish Version of its Proprietary, Certified Technology, Catering to an Increasing Number of Fleets

HOUSTON … July 24, 2017 … Gorilla Safety, provider of an innovative, proprietary and patented software solution that fully automates all aspects of fleet and safety management, announced today that its fully automated Electronic Logging Device (ELD) is now available in Spanish.

Gorilla Safety’s certified ELD solution was developed to directly address and meet the rules set forth by the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) mandate, which takes effect in December 2017. Gorilla Safety’s ELD affords users the ability to track hours of service, stay compliant with edits and automate all documents required for roadside inspections.

Now, bi-lingual fleets will find it even easier to integrate with Gorilla Safety’s ELD, based on the dual-language option.

While drivers must speak English during roadside inspections, it can be easier for some to manage their day-to-day operations in Spanish. Offering the ELD in both English and Spanish will aid these drivers as they seek to comply with the new FMCSA ELD rule. Employing technology – like Gorilla Safety’s mobile app with built-in ELD technology – helps to ensure that commercial truck drivers are in compliance with respect to hours of service regulations. Availability in Spanish provides greater ease of use, flexibility and easier compliance and adoption for fleets of all sizes.

Gorilla Safety’s ELD device works as a stand-alone solution or in sync with its mobile app (spanning a full suite of fleet safety and management services) to appropriately and accurately maintain logbook records and easily track and store driver hours of service right inside the Smartphone. The software is compatible with iOS and Android Smartphones and tablets and also features a web-based dashboard for c brings is its patent pending document management tool. The FMCSA ruling requires drivers to maintain certain documents for each day of operation. Gorilla Safety has developed a way to manage this electronically thereby providing each driver the ease of maintaining his documents and delivering those in real-time to the terminal. This patent-pending technology will bring efficiencies in billing and operations that are currently unavailable in other ELD solutions.

“Bringing the marketplace an innovative, cloud-based, and simple to use ELD solution like ours that is now also available in a Spanish version, only affords fleets an even greater opportunity for achieving compliance, especially as the FMCSA deadline inches closer and closer,” said Mark Walton, Gorilla Safety co-founder and chief executive officer.

“Gorilla Safety offers many ways for fleets, brokers, vendors and transportation companies to get ahead in the marketplace with our seamless and simple ELD solution, which, by offering it in Spanish, will allow fleets to not only make even easier transitions to compliance but also attract more drivers. This is especially important as the industry anticipates continued driver shortages. We believe the great stride we’ve made here with our dual language ELD will take the transportation industry closer to meeting the mandated requirements, and help to improve the overall safety of fleets,” said Mark Walton, Gorilla Safety co-founder and chief executive officer.

The FMCSA ruling is expected to result in an annual net benefit industry wide of more than $1 billion – largely by reducing the amount of required industry paperwork while increasing the efficiency of roadside law enforcement personnel when reviewing driver records. It is projected to save lives and prevent injuries resulting from large commercial motor vehicles crashes.
