Gorilla Safety, a provider of an innovative, proprietary and patented fleet and safety management solution, announced today it has established a new corporate infrastructure and appointed 10 professionals as a result. Concurrently, the Company moved all customer support to its Houston headquarters.

With a strong emphasis on customer experience, Gorilla Safety adjusted its approach to customer onboarding and success through the appointment of new professionals in key customer-facing positions. The new infrastructure has the Company aligned into sales pods to allow for smooth onboarding of new clients. Each of its sales pods consist of three professionals: one sales representative who handles the entire sales process; a business development representative dedicated to lead development and  qualification; and, a customer success manager, responsible for account management, on-boarding and additional support services.

In the sales area, Gorilla Safety appointed four new sales representatives: Steve Portillo, who brings five years of related experience as a service advisor/manager in the vehicle industry for two major local automobile dealerships; Stephanie Davidson, who brings 10 years of experience in client-facing positions in the real estate and finance industries, who most recently, was a realtor at JLA Realty; Edgar de Leon, who worked in customer support for Gorilla Safety for the past two years and was promoted to sales with the reorganization; and, Jim Williams, who has a 20-year sales career, including stints with National Semi Conductor, Wavecom and Sierra Wireless. Williams’ reseller experience in these roles will prove beneficial to his new position.

Basil Fares and Alondra Figueroa were each appointed to the role of business development representative. Fares spent two years in the transportation arena at Tesla, responsible for business development and lead generation in the Houston office while Figueroa was recently an assistant Manager at Covington Credit.

Two professionals were named customer success managers: Amber Ogden, who has 11 years of experience as a training manager for the Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA). She also spent eight years in accounts payable, contracting and procurement roles at the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. Ryan Corron worked in customer support at Gorilla Safety for one year before being promoted to customer success manager. Prior, he worked in technical support at Innovation Lab, a Houston-based STEM SOS Model Maker providing curriculum, training and consultation support to Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (S.T.E.M.) educators throughout Texas.

During this corporate realignment, Gorilla Safety transitioned its entire Customer Support Department to its Houston headquarters. The team is headed by: Mike Chamberlain, with a 17-year career in telecommunications, most recently worked at Electra Link Inc. as a job foreman; Carl Avalos, who previously spent four years at Datavox in Houston, which offers audio visual, data center and network technologies, cabling, IT support, phone systems and physical security, as a product specialist. He brings a strong background in technology, mobile apps and networking to his new role; and, Tony Musco, who prior to joining Gorilla Safety was a vehicle operator at Nuro, a robotics company.
