Gorilla Safety 2.0 Winner for Mobile On-Demand Applications
HOUSTON – June 8, 2018 – Gorilla Safety, provider of an innovative, proprietary and patented software solution that fully automates all aspects of fleet and safety management, announced today the company is the winner of the 2018 People’s Choice Stevie Award® in the Mobile On-Demand Applications category of the The 16th Annual American Business Awards®.
Public voting in the People’s Choice Stevie Awards was conducted throughout May 2018, with the highest number of votes deciding winners in a variety of product categories. More than 58,000 votes were cast. All new products and services nominated in the new product awards categories of this year’s American Business Awards were eligible to be included in voting for the people’s choice awards.
“Gorilla Safety encouraged the fleet and transportation industry to vote, and they have spoken. The results are in, and we are pleased with their confidence in our solution. Gorilla Safety is the first and only easy-to-use mobile app that fully integrates all the aspects of safely and efficiently managing vehicle fleets. Our app was recognized as a People’s Choice because its the first-solution-of-its-kind to offer myriad features that enable fleets of varying size and drivers to better manage their businesses, improve productivity, increase profitability and lower insurance claims as well as premiums, quickly and simply,” said Mark Walton, co-founder and chief executive officer at Gorilla Safety.
“During 2017, we released our Gorilla Safety 2.0 update, making our solution more robust and relevant, particularly at a time when the industry was learning how to navigate and adapt to a new mandate requiring all fleets use Electronic Logging Devices (ELDs) to track and log activity and hours of service. As one of the first crertifed ELDs on the marketplace, our technology and advancements are the People’s Choice because our mobile on-demand app helped thousands of fleets quickly and easily adapt to the recent ELD requirements put forth by the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA),” Walton added.
The American Business Awards are the U.S.A.’s premier business awards program. All organizations operating in the U.S.A. are eligible to submit nominations – public and private, for-profit and non-profit, large and small. Nicknamed the Stevies for the Greek word meaning “crowned,” the awards will be presented to winners at a gala ceremony at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York on Monday, June 11, 2018. More than 3,700 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted this year for consideration in a wide range of categories.
